Today’s class we started off with making a modified version of the rom-com poster. This time we were supposed to make the poster without using a picture of the characters in the movie/series. We could refer the internet for ideas. This exercise seemed to be very interesting. It also helped us in looking at others innovative ideas of making a poster.
Sir also taught us a few new things about the illustrator. He taught us how a vector mask is used. A vector mask is a resolution independent path that clips out the contents of the layer. Vector mask are usually more accurate than those created on pixel based tool. Vector mask is created with a pen or shape tool.
Sir also gave us another assignment where we had to create a brush and make a digital painting using that brush. All of us had no clue about it. It seemed to be a tough activity. We were confused about what exactly has to be done and how can we do it but at the end all of us figured it out and succeded in making a painting.
