As a continuation of the previous session, in today’s class i was ready with all my 3 mindmaps . My mind map consisted of some of the main categories that i was aware of for each specialisation and each category had elements. The difference between a category and an element is something which we discussed during the seminar class.
I had a discussion about my rough mind maps with ma’am and she told me to add a few stuff which i did for the final mindmaps. After checking all the 3 mindmaps ma’am told us to select the mind map of the specialisation we were going to pursue , i chose Interior Design. Now we were instructed to choose one category from that mind map which we thought we like the most and were more inclined towards. Basically we had to eliminate the other categories , but our reasons for eliminating them were supposed to be valid. After thinking and after a bit of research work i decided to go ahead with theme as my category. I had a discussion about this with Ma’am as she said that she would help us in choosing a category , the reason behind me choosing theme was that theme as a category would indirectly include all the other categories like construction , storage , space etc. Ma’am advised me to choose one particular theme instead of choosing the entire category as a whole. So I decided to choose Scandinavian as my final category for the next step.
After choosing a category we were now supposed to make another mind map which was mind map B on that category. In my case i was supposed to make a mindmap on the theme Scandinavian. This assignment was due for next class.
