In today’s class we started with a discussion of our new project that was “Parts of a Whole”. We were instructed to make 3 mind maps on A3 size sheets on the basis of our specialization priorities. We had already started making rough mind maps in our seminar class.
We also had a discussion about Paul Rand. Paul Rand was an American art director and graphic designer, best known for his corporate logo designs, including the logos for IBM, UPS, Enron, Morning star, Inc., Westinghouse, ABC, and NEXT. He was one of the first American commercial artists to embrace and practice the Swiss Style of graphic design.
Later I started with my mindmaps. My first priority since day one has always been Interior Design , then i chose Product design and my third specialization was Strategic Management and Design. I started with making rough mind maps in my book , i also did a lot of research work on each discipline to know more about it. While researching , i realized that each discipline has a lot of aspects and categories which i was unaware about. This research work helped me a lot in knowing about each specialization in depth.
