Time – [week 13] [7/04/2020] Jai Sir

In today’s class we continued with our discussion regarding the idea for creative response . While discussing about the Rubik’s cube idea we thought instead of working on a Rubik’s cube we could work on a jenga. We came up with an entire concept for our jenga block . We decided we would take 6 blocks per category and we would select 5 categories in all.

We were ready with our concept drawings . We also decided what kind of illustrations would we put along for our categories , we decided to go ahead with all animated illustrations . The purpose of our jenga was to make it look like a puzzle and as and when you play the game you get to know more about the era and the categories with the help of the illustrations.

After deciding we had a discussion with sir about this idea of jenga , if we should go ahead with it . Sir asked us a few questions from the interactive point of view and after giving it a thought we realised that our jenga idea wouldn’t work , so sir took us back to our era mind map , he explained us everything all over again and gave us time to think and come up with a better idea.

All of us were tensed because we were close to our submission week and we hadn’t even decided on which idea are we going ahead with. After a while everyone started brainstorming and we came up with a few ideas like a flip book , stop motion video, bioscope , packaging and a game device

Out of all of them we decided to go ahead with the idea of a game device. This idea was inspired by the game chip chop which all of us played when we were young. So our idea was that in the first layer of the device we would add numbers , once the person selects a number the device open up and then they get a color and beneath that color is the name of one of the categories . So whatever category the person gets , we decided to keep an end result to it , the end result could be a postcard , a riddle , a poem , a sticker , a poster . Every category would have a different end result and each end result would have a description of the category on it . So the person gets the respective end result according to the game and he/she gets to read and discover about the category.

We had to make this entire process digital and make all our responses by next week
