As a continuation of the previous session , in today’s class we started working on our layouts for the coffee table book. Before starting with my rough layouts i also did some basic research about all the civilizations.
Sir gave us a list of the main elements that the book was supposed to consist . The list is as follows :- 1] Jacket 2] Cover page 3] Title page 4] Declaration 5] Table of contents 6] Introduction 7] Chapters/Sections 8] Bibliography 9] Index 10] Acknowledgement 11] Back cover This the order which we were supposed to follow for our book. Sir suggested us not to exceed more than 40 pages.
In the second lecture sir took us to have a look of the work done by the 3rd year CD students. They chose various topics and made booklets . Each and everyone of them had a unique way of presenting their book. Some of them presented it in the form of letters, some in the form of a story, some of them depicted their entire story through pictures and illustrations. I was quite impressed with the work they did and their efforts could actually be seen . I was also curious to know about a few stuff so i asked them several questions like how was their experience? , how much time did it take for them to come up with the entire book? , what kind of a paper did they use while printing the booklet ? and which software did they use the most for their drawings. After looking at their work i was even more excited to make the booklet and wanted to know how my final outcome would look like.
