Today’s class we discussed about the important elements on a cover like the hierarchy of typography , covers name and the tagline
We learnt different types of fonts like Mono type[letters and characters each occupy the same amount of horizontal space] , Sans Serif [ general human writing, used to convey simplicity and minimalism] , Slab Serif [ font with thick block ] , Serif [ small line or stroke attached to the end of a larger stroke ], Slab Serif [ font with thick block like serifs ] , Black Letter [ dramatic thin and thick strokes ] Calligraphy [ visual art related to writing . It is the design and execution of lettering with a broad tip instrument ] , Kerning [adjusting the space between characters in a proportional font ] , Ligature [ occurs when 2 letters are joined , uncanny bag ] Block font [ Sans serif style font mostly in capital letters ] , Comic Sans MS [ easy for people with autism ]

We also discussed about the final project in brief . We learnt how to number pages [ text box in the corner ( type – insert special character – markers – current page number ) ]
