Today was the first class of the semester. We started off the class by doing a quick recap of illustrator and Photoshop. We discussed about the gestalt principles. There are 6 gestalt principles :- SIMILARITY, PROXIMITY, CONTINUITY, FIGURE GROUND, CLOSURE, SYMMETRY.
Sir gave us a brief about the second semester. Our projects and things which we were going to learn. This semester is more about exploring new stuff, we understood this semester was going to be theory based .
Later we were given an assignment. We were supposed to choose a Tim Burton movie and make a poster using illustrator and Photoshop. Tim Burton is an american director, producer, artist, animator and writer.
The movie I chose was James and the Giant Peach. It is a 1996 musical fantasy film. It was produced by Tim Burton.
This class was a bit light since we had just come back from a long vacation. It was very helpful we got to revise all the tools and methods of illustrator and Photoshop again.
Towards the end we had a brief discussion about what is Indesign.
