As a continuation of the previous session, in today,s class we started working with the external part of the model, we divided our base into three parts :- the first part was rubber, the second part was sand paper and the third part was the heating pad.
We used rubber to show the squishy feeling that one gets while pulling the leg. We made holes in the rubber with the help of scissors and filled kinetic sand in it to show the feeling one gets while thsi action takes place.
We used sand paper to show friction, since our hand wearable was made up of metal it was the best was to show friction.
We used heating pad to show the feeling of warmth and the redness that takes place after the leg pulling. The heating pad was surrounded and supported with metal sheets. On touching the heating pad with the hand wearable we could feel the warmth because metal is a good conductor of heat.
We were almost done with the model, we were only left with the final touch up. This entire exercise of working in pairs helped us a lot. While working in a group you get to understand other’s point of views, their ideas and opinions which could help you make your model better.
