In today’s class we were supposed to show sir our entire booklet so that he could give us a rough grading and give us suggestions on what all we can improve before showing the final booklet. I was almost done with my entire booklet except for a few things which i planned on completing over the week.
This was my first draft for the book
I was still working on my cover page. I made a cover page but I wasn’t satisfied with it so I thought of remaking it by using illustrations.
Since all of us couldn’t go out and get our test prints done and try binding our booklet . We were instructed to make a prototype at home . I decided to go ahead with perfect binding for my booklet. I saw a few videos on YouTube to learn Perfect binding , it was a very simple process . I took a bunch of papers, compiled them together and aligned them according to the appropriate size . On the close end of the paper I applied a layer of glue so that all the papers could stay intact and then I added a strip of paper on it to keep them bound together.
After making a few changes , i was ready with my final coffee table booklet
Sir also instructed us to make mock ups for a few pages. He sent us a link which would help us in making the mock up layouts.
This was officially our last Imaging class. I learnt so many software’s throughout the entire course, After learning all the software’s now i feel like my digital skills have improved a lot. Everything that i learnt in imaging till date helped me a lot in making this coffee table tablet. There were places were i used to get stuck and Jai sir helped me out and he always told all of us to go back to our basics if we get stuck anywhere. Overall, this project was a complete new and interesting experience for me and i look forward to continue practicing these software’s and keep getting better at it.
